Launch Offer
Starting from the Moulin de la Bretonnière in Formigny, the Great American Loop is a full-day private e-bike journey through the heart of the American D-Day sector and the authentic landscapes of the Bessin countryside.
Over approximately 36.3 km, you will ride from the Normandy countryside to Omaha Beach, the Normandy American Cemetery and Pointe du Hoc, while following quiet country lanes, coastal routes and historic paths along the way.
Rather than simply travelling from one famous site to another, this experience is designed as a complete journey. The bicycle becomes a way to connect the battlefield, the coastline and the countryside, giving you time to understand not only what happened here on June 6, 1944, but also the landscape in which those events unfolded.
Book your 8-hour premium E-bike experience before March 31, 2027, and enjoy our special launch price of 199 € / person (instead of 239 €). Secure your spot for the ultimate VIP D-Day journey!
THE JOURNEY
FROM THE COUNTRYSIDE TO OMAHA BEACH

Leaving the Moulin de la Bretonnière, we begin through the peaceful countryside around Formigny before gradually approaching the historic D-Day coastline. This transition from rural Normandy to the battlefield is part of the experience.
OMAHA BEACH & THE AMERICAN CEMETERY

Reach Omaha Beach and discover the landscape of one of the most important sectors of the Normandy Landings. We then continue to the Normandy American Cemetery, overlooking the sea and the battlefield below.
ALONG THE ATLANTIC WALL

The route continues through several historic defensive positions and viewpoints, including elements of the German Atlantic Wall and the WN positions overlooking the beach. Your guide puts these remains into context and explains how the terrain influenced the events of June 6, 1944.
TOWARDS POINTE DU HOC

Following the coast, we continue towards Pointe du Hoc, one of the most spectacular and historically significant landscapes of the American sector at the top of white cliffs. The final approach offers a very different perspective on the battlefield and its dramatic cliff-top setting.
MORE THAN D-DAY
The Great American Loop is also an opportunity to discover another side of Normandy. Between the historic sites, the route passes through quiet villages, farmland, hedgerows and traditional Bessin landscapes.
This combination of history, nature and local heritage is what makes the experience different from a conventional D-Day tour. You are not simply visiting the battlefield — you are travelling through the landscape that surrounds it.
A TASTE OF NORMANDY
Along the way, we also take time to discover Normandy beyond its battlefields. Enjoy a welcome coffee at the Moulin de la Bretonnière and a cider or apple juice tasting at Domaine de la Percée.
A chance to slow down, meet local producers and discover part of the culinary heritage of the Bessin region.
THE EXPERIENCE
This is a private, guided experience designed for visitors who want to explore more than the usual highlights — without turning their day into a sporting challenge.
With electric assistance, you can cover approximately 36.3 km comfortably while enjoying the freedom of cycling and taking the time to stop, explore and photograph the places that matter.
